June 23, 2017, 3:10pm
Texas law requires the promoter of a trade show to collect and remit sales taxes for vendors at an event unless the vendor has an active Texas sales/use tax permit. As the promoter of the GATS, Randall-Reilly LCC is responsible for making sure the event vendors understand and comply with the Texas laws concerning sales/use taxes. If you sold tangible goods and do not have an active Texas sales/use tax permit, please visit www.cpa.state.tx.us to find out more information about obtaining one. Additional information is available online at: www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/sales/ or by calling 1-800-252-5555.
Every exhibitor is required to fill out a form documenting that they have received and are complying with this requirement. Please CLICK HERE to access the form and return this form by email. Email or mail this form by August 12th. If you plan to sell goods and don’t have a TX sales/use tax permit please use this form and remit appropriate payment at that time.
