Overdrive, ATBS and Kevin Rutherford to offer free seminars for owner-operators at Great American Trucking Show
When: Fri-Sat I Aug 26-27 Where: Truckstop.com Theater
DALLAS, TX- It’s been over 5 years since the last recession, and both the economy and truckers are also showing signs of financial recovery.
In 2014, the number of owner-operators (for-hire businesses where the owner still drives) increased for the fourth consecutive year to 174,700. That’s only 800 below the pre-recession levels of 2007.
Additionally, according to ATBS, owner-operators also achieved a 7 percent income increase above the 2013 average.
Freight demand, the driver shortage, and the price of diesel are all contributing factors in the the economic recovery of common truckers. However, the editors of Overdrive and ATBS believe more can be done to positively contribute to this trend.
This year they are partnering to offer free, one hour seminars at the 2016 Great American Trucking Show.
The seminars will help you improve your bottom line through reducing costs and making better business decisions, enabling you to run smarter instead of harder.
Seminar attendance will also include a free Partners in Business manual, a $20 value. The manual covers a variety of incredibly practical financial tips, tax and equipment management strategies, and more!
These seminars will be offered twice daily on both Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, 2016.
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
ATBS is the nation’s largest owner-operator financial services provider and co-producer of Overdrive‘s Partners in Business. ATBS will be presenting Friday at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Trucking radio host, Kevin Rutherford, is a small-fleet owner and is a former owner–operator accountant and past Overdrive columnist. Kevin will be speaking Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
