Operating a Truck in California? – New Air Quality Regulations Affect You

When: Thursday, August 27, 2015 | 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Learn how to comply with California regulations for trucks & buses, heavy-duty diesel vehicles, tractor-trailer GHG reporting, Heavy-Duty Vehicle Inspection Program (HDVIP) and Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). This course is geared toward truck owners, operators, brokers, dispatchers, and fleet managers, and will cover:

  • Compliance with CARB’s Truck and Bus Regulation, including main provisions, reporting, and proposed changes to the regulation.
  • Review of the inspection process, consequences of non-compliance, and how to comply with CARB regulations affecting most diesel vehicles and equipment operating in the State.
  • How to report using the Truck Regulation Upload, Compliance and Reporting System (TRUCRS), how to use the automated Truck and Bus Fleet Calculator, and basic Truck and Bus and Tractor-Trailer GHG Reduction Regulation requirements.
  • California’s two smoke inspection programs, test equipment, test procedures, record keeping requirements, regulations and advisories dealing with mobile diesel equipment.


How to Prepare for a Safety Review
